After “THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST”, What’s Next?

HOUSTON, TX (PRWEB) July 28, 2004

EvangelismTickets.com, an on-line ticket agency designed to help Christians better connect with the unchurched by providing complementary access to millions of faith-based events, was launched today in Houston.

The national service offers sponsors seamless ticket purchasing and distribution for Christian events presented by more than 400,000 churches and faith-based organizations throughout North America.

Following on the heels of the phenomenally successful movie The Passion of the Christ, the strategy of providing unchurched individuals with complementary tickets to Christian events is a logical “next step” for churches and faith-based organizations to impact the culture, officials from EvangelismTickets.com said in making the announcement.

“Last month The Barna Group released results of a tracking study about religious behavior that should be of great concern to every Christian. According to the study, since 1991 the number of adults who do not attend church has nearly doubled, rising from 39 million to 75 million,” said EvangelismTickets.com Founder and CEO Justin Smith.

“Organized Christianity has predominately invested its time and resources preaching to the choir. We believe the time is right for a new strategy to help Christians reverse this negative trend and impact the culture in a significant way,” he added.

Smith, who has 30 years of experience in the Christian music industry, noted that the technology-driven strategy will “establish a new paradigm for outreach by empowering 113 million churchgoers to donate the cost of admission to life-changing events on behalf of people who have yet to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.”

Prior to today’s launch, Houston-based EvangelismTickets.com spent three years in market research, development and analysis. The business model for Evangelism Tickets was first tested in Florida, where an average of 100 tickets per event were sold through sponsors interested in providing complementary tickets to non-Christians. The recipients, who otherwise likely would not have attended these events, were exposed to culturally relevant Christian music and presentations of how one becomes a Christian.

Churches and faith-based organizations can now designate a portion of their admissions as ‘Evangelism Tickets’ for any fee-based event they present, including concerts, festivals, theatrical performances, pageants, holiday celebrations, workshops, seminars, retreats, lectures, conference, banquets, youth camps and mission trips. Congregations can then purchase tickets on-line with a few clicks and a credit card. Purchasers can designate recipients of Evangelism Tickets or they can be donated anonymously.

Business Conference for Work-at-Home Moms Coming Next Month to South Florida

Miami, FL (PRWEB) April 22, 2005

Diana Ennen of Margate, Florida thinks it’s about time that home-based working moms had their own professional conference. Ennen knew that countless business conferences occur in South Florida, but she had never seen one geared for her, a mother of three and a home-based businesswoman since 1985.

That’s why Ennen was among the first to register for a May 14 “Success! is Waiting for You” conference designed for South Florida moms like herself wanting to boost their business and family life success.

Ennen has not only registered but is volunteering to get the word out for the exciting, features-packed conference sponsored by Home-Based Working Moms, Inc. (http://www.HBWM.com).

“Being able to talk to experts who are already successful and learn what works and what doesn’t is a great tool to home-based success. You not only avoid costly mistakes, but also learn techniques that result in clients and sales. It’s a win-win for everyone,” said Ennen, an HBWM member since 1996.

Part of what some describe as the nation’s fastest-growing business segment – mothers working at home – Ennen has been a leader in the work-at-home industry since opening her business and has written several books on starting a home-based business (http://www.virtualwordpublishing.com). She also knows the importance of networking to achieve success.

“The Success! conference offers this networking opportunity and I recommend it to anyone already in business and wanting to be more successful or those wanting to start a business,” she said. The event will feature timely workshops with PowerPoint presentations, dynamic networking opportunities and the latest in strategies for working from home. A unique “spa moment” will also enrich the conferees’ experience.

Held within an hour’s drive of 5 million people, the conference is the inaugural effort of HBWM. But that hasn’t lowered the expectations of the HBWM founder and president Lesley Spencer.

“New statistics show that now, more than ever, moms are returning to the home front. In fact, the U.S. Census Bureau reports that more than 5.4 million moms have put their careers on hold in order to stay home with their children,” Spencer said.

“With the continued rise in interest among moms for working at home, we felt the need to create these Success! conferences to help moms create successful and balanced home-based careers,” Spencer said.

“Not only do we want to give these moms the opportunity to earn additional income, but we also what to help them find a new sense of accomplishment and self-worth,” she said.

Spencer, a nationally recognized authority on home-based businesses, said that Success! is Waiting for You conferences are envisioned across the country in order to meet the demand for business tips and networking skills as more moms work at home.

A home-based working mom herself for more than a decade, Spencer has seen her business grow 12-fold over the past decade by applying the types of principles that will be shared at the Miami Shores event.

Spencer said the conference will acquaint moms wanting to work at home with a number of opportunities in the home-based marketplace and show moms how to determine which choices best meet their individual needs. Tips for avoiding the numerous work-at-home scams will also be offered.

Planned workshops will deal with topics such as how to get started – and stay started – in a home-based business, how to best market a home-based business and how to strengthen networking skills in order to build business success.

Because professional conferences tend to be costly and heavy on information rather than business tips, Success! is Waiting for You was designed to be rich with value, casual in tone and modest in price, Spencer said.

The $ 59 early registration fee for the all-day event includes the conference, breakfast, lunch and a goodie bag of free items.

“We know that budgets are tight for home-based working moms and we’ve kept that in mind with our planning,” she said.

Spencer said the Success! conference goals include helping attending moms to leave with at least five new networking contacts and wind down the day with a unique spa event allowing them to savor what they’ve learned, relax in a pampered environment and have some good, old-fashioned girlfriend bonding time.

Online registration and more details about the Success! is Waiting for You conference are available at http://www.hbwmconferences.com or by calling 305-807-0963.

The conference, co-sponsored by Successful Living Books & Gifts (http://www.SuccessfulLiving.SpreadtheWord.com), will be hosted by the Miami Shores Christian Church, located at 10150 NE 2nd Avenue in Miami Shores, just a few minutes east of I-95. Directions can be found on the http://www.hbwmconferences.com Web site.

Denvers Next Generation Seeks New Rocky Mountain High

DENVER, CO, (PRWEB) March 17, 2006

Colorado-native Marc McCartney, son to Denvers Coach Bill McCartney who founded the Promise Keepers movement, believes the more than one thousand young adults expected to attend a new conference on Saturday, April 29, called Fusion + Denver (http://www.fusionconferences.com), will walk away with non-traditional ways to leverage their talents, passions and skills for God.

Denver is a hotbed for young adults to work and live, said McCartney, 32, who grew up in nearby Boulder. Marc learned the art of coordinating catalytic events hands-on from his dad, and now is events director for the Rightnow Campaign (http://www.Rightnow.org) , the Texas-based organization that launched Fusion in Dallas in 2004. There is a free spirit and a welcoming atmosphere that is very conducive to the biblical principles of mission and community. I love it! We really hope to see hundreds of young adults in Denver making new commitments to put their faith into action, he said.

Fusion + Denvera one-day conference for Christian twenty and thirty-somethings coming to Denver First Churchis designed to be a bridge of understanding between traditional and progressive thinkers in Denvers local church, while providing common ground where churches can unify across denominational lines.

During roundtable meetings in Denver last November, Marc and Brian Mosley 27-year-old founder of the Rightnow Campaign who was named one of the most influential leaders under 30 years old in the future of the Christian Church (Charisma Magazine, 2005)learned from Colorado church leaders that many young adults are turned off by denominational barriers and divisiveness in the church.

Reza Zadeh, 28, young adults pastor at Timberline Church in Fort Collins, who plans to bring about 20 people including his leadership team to Fusion + Denver, defined challenges he thinks Fusion will help fix: We are growing away from tradition, and we arent essentially going toward anything else. Denver is one of the fasting growing cities for young adults, yet a lot of people who come to this area say, because they cant find a place to plug-in, they will stop attending church altogether.

Jeff Davenport, 32, who leads an emergent service at First Presbyterian Church in Boulder each week, will bring members in search of authenticity during what he called a rare opportunity for ecumenism. Davenport said of his groups goal, They just want to be as contemporary as possible as we walk alongside the cultureThey want to go change the worldbut they want to make sure the church is about Gods business.

In 2004, Mosley and McCartney launched Fusion conferences to address statistics that show Gen Busters are likely to grow inactive in their faith by age 30 (Barna, 2003). Since then, 5,000 young adults and more than 500 churches representing many denominations, races and cultures have participated in Fusions edgy and interactive program.

I am not aware of any other conferences that target 20 and 30-somethings with a very intentional message, said Mosley after completing Fusion+ Orlando in February 2006. Featuring headline speakers Gracia Burnham and Dan Kimball and music by Caedmans Call, the event attracted 1,200 Christian twenty and thirtysomethings and exhibits by 37 mission-sending organizations.

There are plenty of Christian concerts and festivals that appeal to peoples connection with music and entertainmentbut not much that addresses their purpose and direction in life. I think they need encouragement to go for it and some help in finding the specific opportunities where they can have maximum impact, he added.

In Denver, Fusions experiential learning activities will include a short film festival, a one-act play, the Connection Caf

An Enterprising American Soldier and Friends Co-Develop Leading Video E-mail and Video Conferencing Company Offering the ‘Next Generation in Communication’

Golden, CO (PRWEB) November 16, 2005

An idea born out of an enterprising American soldier’s need to communicate with friends and relatives is now available here.

Called “Viewbit” subscribers can dial into the company’s website to produce and send their own video e-mail to their friends, relatives and business associates with internet access all around the globe.

The cost, as little as $ 19.95 a month for unlimited video e-mail and video conferencing service’s, brings it into the reach of most families and certainly businesses, says Scott Fortune, vice president of Viewbit.com.

Michael Grant, Viewbit’s founder and owner arrived at the idea of video e-mail and live conference service when first getting word of Scott Fortune being deployed for a one-year mission in support of operation enduring freedom back in 2003.

“When I first got word of being deployed, Kevin Frost contacted Michael Grant and asked if he could develop a way for myself and other US Military personnel to stay connected to family, friends and loved ones while on deployment,” reports Fortune. 90 days later Michael Grant and his staff had created the prototype for Viewbit. The finished product was released this past May to the delight of many people.

In addition to video e-mail, the service also offers incredible live video conferencing for up to four people to see, hear and talk to each

other in the highest quality, according to Pam Cudd, Vice President.

“Viewers see smooth, clear, crisp video, rivaling hardware-based video conferencing equipment costing tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars,” Cudd says.

“I teach an online sales course using Viewbit with my independent distributers,” says, Jerry Gardner from Little Rock AR.

“Viewbit and video conferencing allows me to meet face-to-face with my clients throughout the world,” says Michael Grant, viewbit owner.

“We’ve had Evangelical Christian Churches and Christian Television Networks expand their ministries by employing this technology to get their message out,” says Pam Cudd, Vice President.

Now back home in the U.S., Fortune wants to let others know about the video e-mail and video conferencing. “The possibilities are truly endless here. Many family and small businesses can really personalize their service and get a leg up on the competition. Even network marketers see how this can help them communicate with their organizations more effectively. Students use it after classes for study sessions and a little gossip too.”

Kevin Frost, Senior Vice President adds, “I see it also helping the hearing impaired who can now communicate using sign language in real time on the video conference system that viewbit offers.”

Once subscribers log into http://www.viewbit.com where they can produce their own video e-mail, review their performance and send it to their friends or relatives. All with the click of a mouse.

Fortune is excited about the prospects of video e-mail, calling it “The Next Generation In Communication”. Others agree.

Forrester Research concluded, “Video E-mail will replace text messages as the online communications mechanism.”

According to the live streaming video industry, live stream video is currently a 2 billion dollar market, and by 2008, it will be an estimated $ 12 billion industry.

For more information or to try out video e-mail and conferencing, go to http://www.viewbit.com

Fortune also invites “subscribers or anyone with questions to join us live every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday at 9:00 PM (EST) and on Saturday at 1:00 PM (EST). We walk each person through the very easy setup process and also field questions and get valuable feedback from our subcribers. To join us live by phone dial 319-256-0500 access code 1062452#.”
